EDITION 0712.10.2026–18.10.2026

Review period

This edition covers the completed week of 12–18 October in Astana time. Sources were checked on 19 October; that check does not change the dates of prices or events. The previous 5–11 October edition remains in the archive.

12 October: retail price ranges

Kazinform reported AI-92 ranges of 250–253 ₸/l in Astana, 250–255 in Almaty and 234–241 in Shymkent. These are city-level ranges, not individual station price lists. They do not establish a particular station’s price or fuel availability.

TOP 3: prices in the weekly snapshot

For this weekly comparison we use the saved OILCLUB snapshot dated 12 October. All 18 petrol values for Qazaq Oil, Helios and GASENERGY match the previous Benza KZ release. AI-92 is 253 ₸/l in Astana and 255 in Almaty across these networks. After the week ended, OILCLUB published a 19 October snapshot with the same 18 values. The homepage shows that newer date, outside this review period.

16 October: a morning oil-market reference

Kazinform’s morning report on 16 October quoted Brent at $105.36 a barrel and WTI at $97.29. These are values from that report, not weekly closing prices. They cannot directly determine the price per litre at a Kazakh station; retail quotes require a separate source.

A practical calculation: compare equal volumes

Our calculation using that snapshot: 40 litres of AI-92 cost 10,120 ₸ at 253 ₸/l or 10,200 ₸ at 255 ₸/l, a difference of 80 ₸. This illustrates the size of the difference; it is not a reason to drive to another city to refuel. Use the calculator for your route and confirm the chosen station’s price before travelling.
