28 September: four AI-92 changes
In Astana, Qazaq Oil and GASENERGY AI-92 rose from ₸247 to ₸253/l, while Helios moved from ₸247 to ₸249/l. Almaty Helios moved from ₸249 to ₸251/l; Qazaq Oil and GASENERGY stayed at ₸255/l. The other 14 table values were unchanged. These are city-level network figures, not confirmation of a specific pump price or fuel availability at every station.

On 28 September, Kursiv also reported Astana AI-92 at ₸253/l for GASENERGY and Qazaq Oil. It listed diesel at both networks at ₸343/l, compared with ₸337/l in August. That is an August comparison, not evidence of a one-day jump. Diesel has not been added to the existing petrol table: the homepage format is preserved and the report is covered here.

Kazinform’s 3 October review, citing Reuters, reported Brent closing at $102.25 a barrel and WTI at $91.11. It gave weekly changes of +0.11% and −1.6%, respectively. These describe a particular trading close and week, not a live quote. Crude-oil movements alone do not determine retail petrol prices in tenge.

A 40-litre fill at ₸249 rather than ₸253/l saves ₸160. But an extra 10 km at 8 l/100 km uses 0.8 litres, costing about ₸199 at the lower price. In this example, the detour costs more than the saving.
