Reading the comparison

The homepage compares three networks. Standard grades are kept separate from Prime and discounts. The snapshot does not replace the price at your chosen pump when you fill up.

Petrol prices in Astana and Almaty: reading the snapshot

The 31 August snapshot helps compare standard AI-92, AI-95 and AI-98 at selected networks, but it is not a single citywide tariff. Each value belongs to a stated network, city, grade and date and should be checked at the chosen pump before purchase.

What is being compared

In the main Benza KZ table, each grade has its own column and each city its own group. AI-95 in Astana is therefore not mixed with AI-95 in Almaty, and a standard product is not replaced by a premium range. Network names lead to profile pages and city names to local pages carrying the same dated values.

Price date and verification date

31 August is the date of the price snapshot itself. 4 September records when the editorial team reopened the source and checked the transcription. The gap does not guarantee that the price remained in force throughout. When no newer comparable set exists, the old value keeps its original date instead of receiving an artificial fresh timestamp.

Estimating a fill-up budget

For a rough estimate, multiply the per-litre price by the planned volume. A difference of a few tenge is more visible across a full tank, although driving to a cheaper station also costs fuel and time. The homepage calculator uses the selected price and litres; its result remains an estimate before discounts, rewards and station-level changes.

Grade choice is not a price-only decision

Octane rating should follow the vehicle handbook and the label by the fuel filler. A higher number does not make petrol universally better for every engine, while saving on an unsuitable grade may conflict with the manufacturer's requirements. Where a range is permitted, follow the manual's wording, driving conditions and maker guidance.

When a change can be stated

A trend requires at least two snapshots with matching parameters: the same city, network and grade, with clear dates. An average across different stations answers a different question and cannot replace like-for-like comparison. A future Benza KZ update will either show a new comparable set or retain the earlier snapshot with a transparent age warning.

An example journey decision

Suppose the car requires AI-95 and the planned purchase is 35 litres. Compare the AI-95 column for the relevant city, multiply each value by 35 and assess the cash difference. Then open the network map and factor in travel cost, time and ease of access. This turns a price list into a decision without promising that the historical snapshot matches today's sign.
